Nib Terms of Use

Last updated: November 7, 2026

These terms explain how you may use Nib, how subscriptions work, and what we are and aren't responsible for. Nib is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms add details specific to Nib. If anything here conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA applies.

By downloading or using Nib, you agree to these terms. Nib is provided by [Legal name of the developer] ("we", "us").

What Nib does

Nib lets you open, scan and view documents, draw your signature and initials, place them and other text on pages, and export the result as a PDF. Everything happens on your device. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

About signatures

Nib places an image of the signature you draw onto a document. It does not verify your identity and does not create a qualified or advanced electronic signature as defined by laws such as the EU eIDAS Regulation. Whether a document signed with Nib is valid or accepted depends on the law that applies to it and on the person or organization receiving it. If you are unsure, ask the recipient or a lawyer before you rely on it.

Your responsibilities

Free version

You can use Nib for free with some limits. Currently the free version lets you keep up to 3 documents in the app, does not include document scanning, and adds a small "Signed with Nib" line at the bottom of exported pages. We may change what the free version includes in future updates.

Nib Pro

Nib Pro removes these limits. It is available as an auto-renewable subscription (weekly or yearly) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may differ by country.

Auto-renewable subscriptions

Lifetime purchase

The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment that unlocks Nib Pro for as long as we offer the app, on all devices signed in with the same Apple Account. If Family Sharing is enabled for the purchase, members of your family can use it too.

Restoring purchases and refunds

If you reinstall Nib or use a new device, tap Restore in the app to restore your purchase. Payments are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com (how it works).

Changes to the app

We may update Nib, add or remove features, or stop offering it. If we stop offering Nib, it will keep working on your device for as long as iOS allows, and your documents remain on your device.

No warranty

Nib is provided "as is" and "as available", to the extent permitted by law. We work hard to make it reliable, but we don't promise that it will be error-free or that it will meet every need. Always check an exported document before you send it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for loss of data, or for losses caused by how a signed document is used or whether it is accepted. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Nib in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Country], without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use Nib after a change means you accept the new terms.
